Jerome J. Harcar
As a Historic Preservation Specialist with BRS, Inc., Jerome J. Harcar brings over 30 years’ experience in the field of municipal management of cultural resources. He has guided numerous local government agencies and private owners of historic properties in the application of local, state and federal guidelines as they pertain to the treatment of historic resources.
Mr. Harcar has worked extensively with municipal government in the management of restoration construction projects, grant management, preservation planning, historic research and survey work and environmental compliance for historic properties (including Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the N.J. Register of Historic Places Act). He also has experience in the oversight and coordination of the activities of Historic Preservation (Landmarks) Commissions in their management of locally designated historic properties.
Mr. Harcar is a graduate from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Historic Preservation. He is a licensed real estate person in New Jersey and currently holds his license with the National Real Estate Referral Group.
He has been an advisor to numerous historic community and non-profit groups and is an active member of numerous history/historic preservation organizations.
